Dear Reader,

Although I love history, I’ve always been more interested in the people, the conflicts than the details . . . like the Revolutionary War. When a Patriot went off to the war, what happens at home? Questions like that, and the answers, have always interested me more than technical details and factual data.

While researching for Hunter’s Mercy, I used mainly two resources, listed below, and I tried to be as accurate as I could while keeping true to the story my characters had to tell me. My characters have always driven the story and that hasn’t changed with my occasional foray into historical paranormal romances.

While my focus is always on the characters, I tried to be as accurate as possible . . . hopefully, I succeeded. And I hope you enjoy Hunter’s Mercy.
